A Public Service Announcement

This is so true. Two of the biggest annoyances when I’m driving in Colorado Springs. Interstate on ramps are not the same as intersections. see “Yield and Merge: Not Synonyms”
Public Service Announcement
A couple things:
Right-of-Way
When driving, do not give up your right-of-way unless it is absolutely necessary. The only exception is when you’re in gridlock or construction & an impromptu merging situation has to happen to keep everyone moving & safe. Giving up your right-of-way not only ticks off the drivers behind you, it can cause an accident. Just GO. Put your foot on the vertical pedal on the right and GO. Don’t worry about being “nice”. Worry about staying alive.
Yield and Merge: Not Synonyms
Yield means: slow way down, stop if necessary, look, wait until it’s clear and then go. Merge means get up to speed and move into traffic as seamlessly as possible. Merging is a community experience: we need to work together to make it happen.
This has been a Public Service Announcement. We now return to your regularily scheduled program.
